A mouthful of pain
Currently suffering through a terrible dental experience. Went to a new dentist a few months ago for a routine checkup, and he managed to fill a small cavity too deeply, placing the filling right next to a nerve. Really nasty pain in that tooth ensues when there'd been one prior to the checkup, and I naturally end up having a root canal done. I go in this morning for my 8:45 appointment for a temporary crown on that tooth and I don't leave until roughly 11:30. And the temp crown falls off within 40 minutes or so. So I now have to go back in tomorrow morning. Here's hoping I don't spend another 2-3 hours there, but I think the problem is that the crown is too big. I wasn't able to close my teeth together after leaving the office, and while I wasn't consciously rubbing against the crown I think the fact that it's the first contact my upper teeth make when my mouth is closed is going to be a problem. So I have to convince the dentist to make a second mold, for which he's probably going to try charging me. Fun, fun.
Probably goes without saying that once I get this crown done, I'm switching to another dentist.
